After seeing the Gunners drop 2 points at Birmingham in a 1-1 draw, Arsene Wenger’s nerves frayed. He was seen little unhappy in an interview. He was not happy at the challenge of Craig Gardner on his skipper Cesc Fabregas.
After the bruising match he commented, “Am I suggesting there were a lot of bad tackles? Leave me alone with that.”
Commenting on the chances of Fabregas being fit when the Gunners will face Barcelona on Wednesday in the Champions League game, he said: “We have to assess him.”
Arsene Wenger earlier thought that again his side at St Andrews became the victims of bad tackling. This expression was clearly ruffled in the press conference after the match.
When Wenger was pushed further by the media persons there on the subject then he just said: “I can give you my opinion about our game but you always create this controversy.”
More to this, he was not at all happy with the challenge of Gardner on Fabregas and he said to the press, “It was a bad tackle, one more. He [Fabregas] got tackled at the knee, kicked just under the knee.”
Well, if such comments are hitting the media then there may be a negative impact on the world cup in South Africa for which we booked the tickets some days back at worldcuptickets.biz.
The latest outburst of Arsene Wenger about the treatments of his world cup squad follows the same complaint after Ramsey had suffered a broken leg last month by Stoke’s Ryan Shawcross in red card challenge.
Well, Arsenal’s dropping of two points actually compounded with the victories Man Uni and Chelsea, which is on second place. The two are 4 and 3 points respectively clear of 3rd-placed Arsenal.
